  • Develop and execute a communications/content strategy that showcases the ECC’s mission and activities
  • Create engaging multimedia content, including photos, videos, articles, and graphics for various platforms
  • Manage social media channels and accounts, cultivating an active and engaged online community and inspiring people to come visit our Center
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent English writing skills with the ability to convey complex conservation concepts in an accessible manner
  • Experience in media production, content creation, and/or social media management and a willingness to learn and implement new ways of getting the word out to the world
  • Understanding of social media platforms
  • Experience in photography, videography, and video editing
  • Passion for wildlife conservation
  • Experience in supporting ecotourism and student study abroad is a plus
  • Knowledge of Asian elephants is a plus
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work both independently & in a diverse team
  • Commitment to excellence
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:
  • Accommodation, food, and laundry at the ECC site in Sayaboury; accommodation at the ECC office in Luang Prabang
  • $750 USD towards the cost of your international flights to/from Laos (paid upon satisfactory completion of your internship after at least 3 months)
  • Paid visa and support in securing it
  • Opportunity to join us long-term as a paid employee with benefits (upon satisfactory completion of your internship after at least 3 months)
  • Guidance and professional support from our field staff and remote development volunteer
  • Unique opportunity to expand your professional skills and support your career goals
  • Full immersion into the rich culture and natural beauty of Luang Prabang and Sayaboury provinces
  • Collaborative and supportive work environment with fellow conservation enthusiasts and elephant experts
