Phai Kham Sing

History: Phai Kham Sing, believed to be the brother of Mae Boun Nam, is fully embracing his new life at the Elephant Conservation Center (ECC). With a playful and sociable personality, he loves being in the company of the female elephants, adding a vibrant energy to the herd. Now free from a past of forced training, Phai Kham Sing spends his days exploring the natural landscapes around him, forming bonds with other elephants, and expressing his lively nature.

Surrounded by the dedicated care at the ECC, Phai Kham Sing is finally able to thrive, with the added hope that his joyful presence will contribute to the conservation and future of Laos’s elephant population. He was part of a group of 13 rescued from an attempted illegal export. Just as the elephants were being prepared for departure at Vientiane International Airport, a historic decision from the Prime Minister’s office stopped the transport.
