Mae Boua Phan

History: Mae Boua Phan is a sociable and playful member of the herd, distinguished by her numerous pink freckles on the bottom of her ears and long, elegant eyelashes. She is very attentive and nurturing with her herd, showing a kind and caring nature. However, she exhibits a mischievous side when interacting with other elephants. Tragically, she lost her calf, Boonlot, in August 2023 due to a condition involving dead muscles in his leg. Despite this loss, she remains an integral part of the breeding programme. She shares a close friendship with Mae Van Dee and enjoys spending time with Thong Khoun. Her ability to balance her nurturing role within her herd and her playful interactions with others makes her a unique and valued member of the Elephant Conservation Center.

Distinguishing features: Lot of pink freckles on the buttom of the ears. Long eyelashes.

Personality traits: Very nice and attentive with her herd, naughty with the rest of the elephants.

Maternity: She has one calf which sadly passed away shortly after being born.
