Mae Dao

History: Mae Dao, born in 2022, is the youngest member of our herd at the ECC. She has quickly become a cherished part of our family, bringing joy and energy to everyone around her. Her arrival marked a new chapter for the herd, as she represents hope for the future of elephant conservation in Laos. Mae Khoun Noy was welcomed into the ECC with open arms when she was born, and since then, she has thrived in the supportive environment we provide.

Being born into a nurturing setting, she has had the opportunity to bond closely with her caregivers and her fellow elephants. Mae Dao’s playful nature shines through in her interactions with her companions, particularly during bath time, where she loves to dive underwater alongside Mae Champa and Mae Boua Ngeun. Her carefree spirit and enthusiasm for life make her a beacon of happiness within the herd, and we are excited to watch her grow and develop in the years to come.
