Our first Baby elephant, Noy 1, a young female from Thongmixay has reached 1,5 years of age. She came to the ECC as part of ElefantAsia’s Baby Bonus project. The contract between her owner and ElefantAsia will come to an end by early April 2012. We therefore wishes her a safe return to her district of origin, Thongmixay, located in the southern part of the sayaboury province. By January 2013, she will undertake training and receive her final name. In fact, she will actually choose her name from three names engraved in 3 pieces of sugarcane on the last day of the training. We will attend the training and report to our readers and followers about her new condition. Farewell Noy 1!! And hopefully, see you again at the ECC when your training is over.
